Tight Funky Drum Samples
The “Tight Funky Kit” is a funky drum samples pack.
It contains 40 drum hit samples in total recorded across 10 different voices at 4 different velocities.

The kit was tuned at both extremes for this recording. A high-pitched 10″ concert tom (a tom with just a single batter head) paired with a 16″ deep-tuned floor tom gives a real fat yet tight-punchy sound to fills.
The snare is a Tama 13″ maple snare tuned top and bottom SO tight it’s almost choked.
For these recording sessions we also used a ribbon mic over the top of the kit. Almost like a third overhead, to give tight, contained, focused funky drum samples.
The Patches
We have created sampler patches that “map” the voices and velocities to different keyboard note events.
Simply load the correct format into your software sampler, and you can play beats using your keyboard, or programme beats in your sequencer.
